Teaching Artist Training

C3 the US Department of Education Arts Education Model Development and Dissemination (AEMDD)

Teaching artists are professional artists who have unique skills that blend artistic and curricular ideas into dynamic learning experiences for learners of all ages.  This means that they are not teaching the core artistic curriculum provided by arts specialists in schools.  They are co-teaching a range of hybrid approaches to communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity that occur naturally in their artistic discipline.

C3 teaching artists are trained to be partners with teachers so that they can exchange knowledge and methods that will form custom learning experiences for: the needs of students, the requirements and constraints of the classroom, and the 4C skills of all learners for the 21st century.
