Peer-to-Peer (P2P): The peer leadership development originates from the Empire State Partnership's Peer-to-Peer methods developed with funding from the NYS Council on the Arts.


Peer Leadership Work Groups: Each school participates in these sessions as teams with their teaching artist partners.They incorporate assessment of professional practice with documentation and reviewing of student work. The sessions have built into an annual cycle of:

  • establishing peer identities and establishing assessment goals
  • identifying shared vocabulary and engagement practices
  • tackling areas of challenge and potential
  • reviewing and comparing assessment goals with outcomes for the summer seminar and year to come
